Unlikely Climate Change Foes - Evangelicals
Evangelical Leaders Urge Action on Climate Change in direct opposition to President Bush and many 'Religious Right' leaders, such as Dobson, Robertson and Graham.According to NPR, 86 evangelical leaders have signed on to "The Evangelical Call to Action."
Wow, that's not something I expected to hear this morning on NPR! Turns out a majority of evangelicals connect evironmental stewardship with their religion and nearly 3 in 4 support environmental issues, according to an Ellison Research Study.
It's just unbelievable to me when all I see around me are big SUV's withe little 'fish' and Calvin praying under a cross sitckers. But then again, they're mostly Southern Baptists, so they are probably the 1 in 4 that DGAF about the environment.
So what would Jesus Drive???
